Stepping out of some sort of twangy time warp, Miss Leslie plays honky tonk music straight out of the 50′s, back when bands new a little something about melody and back when singers actually cared about how their voice sounds. Miss Leslie credits her vocal style to Connie Smith which is a fair enough comparison, but I’d have to throw Tammy Wynette and Kitty Wells into the mix as well. If’ you’re looking for country music that is beautiful, breezy, and danceable, do the time warp with Miss Leslie and Her Juke Jointers.
