Bloodshot Records has pulled together the best material from Charlie Pickett’s 3 indie albums from the 80’s. Sorta punk, but with equal influences from 60’s era garage rock and down home blues, if you can believe that. There’s echoes of Velvet Underground and Jason and the Scorchers here. It’s hard to pick favorites on this one, but try “Get Off On Your Porch,” “A. on Horseback,” “Overtown,” “On The River in ’59,” “Death Letter,” “Heads Up, Heels Down,” “But I Didn’t,” “Slow Death,” and the live version of “Phantom Train.”
