This week I added several tracks from the Robert Johnson Centennial collection to rotation. To be honest, many of his early recordings are interesting only as historical archives of early music. A lot of the tracks kinda start sounding all the same after a while. On the other hand, there are a handful of amazing tracks which you’ll recognize as the classic covers from rock and roll bands. For those tracks, it’s really mind boggling to hear the original stripped down blues tune.
