After being off the air for Way Too Long, Rick Cornell returns to the airwaves on Monday, January 25th. Rick will be my co-host the Taproot Radio show from 9-10 and then he’ll launch the return of the Dirty Laundry show from 10-11. So tune into to WCOM at 9pm on Monday night.
Tokyo Rosenthal will be joining me on the Taproot Radio to play a song or two from his new CD, Ghosts. I’ve also asked him to play guest DJ for a set, so he’s bringing in some of his favorite tracks to spin on the air. I’ve also posted a video performance of his “Will You Speak About Me Then.”
For this week’s Taproot Radio Poll, Rate “Young Dreams” by Dexter Romweber. I’m loving this old school New Orleans Piano Bar sound. And Dexter Romweber is giving it away over at Bloodshot Records.

On January 14th, Bobby Charles passed away. He’s one of the best songwriters you never heard of. He mostly kept a low profile and didn’t perform much, but his songs were covered by everybody and their brother. Follow the link above for his wikipedia entry. Beth McKee’s last CD, I’m That Way, was full CD of Bobby Charles covers. I interviewed her the day he died and that interview will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Taproot Music Feed podcast.
