I’m happy to report CD adds this week for two local artists into Taproot Radio. Joe Swank and the Zen Pirates have released their long-awaited and much anticipated CD, Hank Williams Died For My Sins, which is destined to be an alt.country classic. Also this week, Jon Shain’s latest CD, Times Right Now hits the airwaves. Known for his Piedmont Blues style, Jon Shain mixes in some New Orleans influences in this CD. Look for both at your local live music venues and check them out when you can.
This week, I’ve also got new music from two popular acts on Taproot Radio. Lyle Lovett has released a new collection of Texas folk songs, called Natural Forces and (finally!) we have a new rockabilly CD from The Rev. Horton Heat!
