This week I added Ray LaMontagne's new CD, Gossip In The Grain, into rotation. About half the songs on the CD are the sensitive folk-singer songs which don't do much for me. But the rest of the tracks are blue-eyed soul with a touch of twang that's pretty darn good.
Also this week, I received an apparently self-released CD from a group called Country Boy Rolling Stone which kinda reminds me of Jimmy Buffett (in a good way) and John Prine mixed together. I love it when I get good surprises in the mail. It's what keeps me keeping on in the radio show bidness.
