Booze Monkey’s myspace page notes his motto as “Ticking off the genre police again.” and I think that pretty much sums him. His-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink approach to song writing keeps you on your toes and keeps the CD lively. But throughout there’s a blues and rockabilly undercurrent that ties it together. Think Jon Spencer Blues Explosion but a lot less serious. Highlights for me are “Chip and A Chair,” and “Mysteries”
