Led by Charles Walston, of Vidalias fame, The Bourbon Dynasty have put together a loping, relaxed stride through Americana; even the rock tunes feel like back porch music on a hot summer night. They remind be somewhat of Bucktown Kickback. Highlights include “Faith Alone” which has a gospel tinge to it. “Girl In The Check Out Line is a country rocker which reminds be of the Backsliders. Other highlights include a country-crooner called “The Best That I Can Do,” a slow soul tune called “There’s A Whisper,” a blues tune called “Low Tolerance for High Maintenance,” a roots rock ballad called “Things You Put Me Through,” a 70′s-esque soft rock song called “She’s Not The Crying Kind” and a high energy rock tune called “Pay The Price.”
