Straight ahead rockabilly, as always, but this time she’s assisted by folsk like Dave Alvin, Elvis Costello, the Cramps, Lee Rocker, and the Cadillac Angels.
Highlights include the Cramps assisted cover of Funnel of Love the cover of Buck Owens’ “Crying Time,” with Elvis Costello. Other highlights include “Mean Mean Man,” “Riot in Cell Block No. 9,” and “It Happens Every Time, ” al fo which are assisted by Dave Alvin on guitar. The CD is a rockabilly dream.
