In honor of the Sharon Jones show this Friday, I’ve declared this week to be Bold Soul Sister Week on Taproot Radio! I’m featuring music from Sharon Jones, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Bettye LaVette, Candi Staton, Ruby Johnson, Janiva Magness, Ann Sexton, Judy Clay and many more soul tunes in addition to the usual roots rock and twangy songs.
